Here you will find a constantly updated resource to Elvis' concert releases on CD, either :
- Officially by RCA - BMG or the recent 'fan' label called FTD (Follow That Dream). The quality of these releases are superb in the majority of cases with some rare exceptions.
- Bootlegs, also referred to as 'Imports' which are unofficial releases where the quality varies from excellent to mediocre at best.
- A third one is released by fans that had those old audio tapes and transferred them to CD-R, the quality is not really good but if you intend to have all the concerts, then the only way is to have them. The quality of some of them are plain awful and you have to almost trust it is someone singing, never mind that it's Elvis, but some of us just have to have everything the worlds greatest superstar has ever done.
The first two sources, the official releases and the bootleg releases, are manufactured pressed CD's, but with the third source we decided to try to keep a track of the releases the fans bring out after converting those old tape recordings. This is very hard at the best of times and frustrating since the dates on the covers and other notes of detail are not correct or fans re-copy these CD's with variations of the same concert under different titles.
As the quality is usually significantly different and the manufacturing process of the CD's themselves is different, with the fan base ones being plain CD-R, we've split the two types up.
Our listings can be found under CD's firstly in each years respective tour / engagement section followed underneath by the CD-R's.
The foundation for this section is based primarily upon Ciscokings personal collection, but many other sources were used to verify and cross check the information for updates, continuity and re-release variations, including www.elvis-in-concert.com, www.elvisconcerts.com, www.jordans-elvis-world.com, www.evdmeer.dds.nl/homepage.html and Patrik's Elvis Corner as well as various publications. Whilst we are only human and have probably made errors in one or two places we've tried to establish the information as accurately as we can. If you come across an entry you feel may not be quite right please e-mail Ciscoking: --Ciscokings e-mail link--
As a bonus we've included audio tracks for you to stream and listen to on some of the CD's and some of the better CD-R's.
Look out for the little Real Player speaker icon
to indicate those CD's you can listen to on-line.
Further to this we will be adding other tracks to other CD's as the weeks go buy, so check this section out regulaly and also look out for notifications of updates in the forum in Ciscokings Corner.
Ciscoking will answer some of the more popular questions and will have some explanations why some concerts were not added and information that will make easier to understand this section.:

'Ciscoking's Corner' has been created because of the many e-mails and PM`s we receive regarding the recorded live music of our man. Here I will answer the most important questions. Of course you can still PM or e-mail me. Don't hesitate ! If you have any helpful additions - proposals - updates - corrections...just drop me a line ! Please notice that our pages were made just for information purposes and that we don`t sell anything !!! We don't add audio to official releases. If you find any we've added inadvertendly, please tell us !!
Just these pages at Jordan`s Elvis World are the originial ones written by me. Other sites might copy my work and my pages without permission !!
I 'invented' this tag to indicate that the very same show has been released under one or more different titles. Where necessary I added attributes like 'more complete', 'better sound' or 'wrongly dated'. If you find/know more of them please let me know.
It was a hard job, but I managed to get covers for all CDR's I've listed. Of course they are downloadable only here in the best quality because they are the only original ones.
1969 live recordings are a total mess and there are almost no reliable sources ! The CDR's I've listed are most likely correctly dated, however sometimes I was not absolutely sure about dinner or midnight show. All others might be just fakes and/or spliced of different Vegas shows from that time. It's impossible to figure out what exactly these fakes consist of - at least for me ! Please don't take my list for this section for absolutely granted. I tried to be as accurate as possible. Other sites might have other dates for this period.
I decided the following: I will only give comments for shows which are either 'below average' or in 'good' sound quality. Special comments about excellent or extremely bad sounding shows will be added. All others will automatically fall into the category 'average'. I do hope you are satisfied with that solution ! Please notice that these 'sound ratings' were chosen by just listening to CDR's I have access to. Other sources might be in better or worse sound. If the idea of giving sound ratings turns out to be confusing or whatever I will take the ratings off the list !!
The reason is quite simple: We are talking about private audience recordings with titles given by fans. The important thing is the date. I saw many collections with just dates, no titles. And to be honest, if we are looking for a special show we got the date in mind and not the title !
We usually do not include live samplers or special releases containing certain live songs. Our 'live' section is focused mainly on complete concerts. Just some essential samplers are included.
I'v tried to list at least three of the most interesting songs for each show. Any others are just standards of the tours or Vegas-Tahoe seasons I am referring to. You don't miss any rarities !
In total I have listed exactly 661 different shows in our 'live' section with far over 1000 different CD titles !
I have decided not to create a separate, complete list with Soundboard-/Multi Track recordings. Instead I've added 'Soundboard Recording' or 'Multi Track Recording' to the import/official releases where it was necessary. So you also have a complete overview. Any others should be 'Audience Recordings'.

Special thanks goes to Juan Luis, H.A.Muller, Merijn Van Der Meer and my friend Charlie, their help is much appreciated !! Another 'Thank You' goes to Patrik Ahlgren for the fantastic covers he is making for many CDR releases and are incorporated in my pages! I also got to say 'Thank You' to Leroy for providing infos about jumpsuits. One of the most amazing and accurate lists I've ever seen !! Thanks also to Francesc for the fantastic live pix we could borrow from his 'Elvis concerts' site.
