Again we get August 3, 1969 DS as recently released on The Return Of A Prodigy by Gravel Road Music or years ago on Opening Night by Fort Baxter. This time Godfather Records is responsible. Try to get hold of the previous releases. I have added it to our Concerts On CD - 1969 section.

I Do It Again is the title of this CD-R. Unfortunately the sound isn`t good. The show is a powerhouse performance with Elvis and band being in top notch condition. Just go to our Concerts On CD - 1970 section and scroll down till you have the show.

The next release by SR will be a 2 CD set in long box format titled Setting The Season. The audience recordings in more or less poor sound quality (besides the bonus tracks from February 21, 1971, MS) feature the Las Vegas February 19, 1971, MS and February 22, 1971, MS. The former we had back in 2005 on There Goes My Everything, the latter is unreleased but well known to the CD-R fans among us. The complete show from which the bonus tracks were taken has been previously released on Las Vegas Fever Vol.1 (1991) or Live In Las Vegas '73 (1993). Both concerts belong to the best of this Vegas stand with many rarities, pity the sound isn`t the best. Rainbow Records presents as a very interesting audience recording: Las Vegas August 6, 1969, DS. We already had it back in 1991 by the Tiger label. The sound was a bit dull with some cuts here and there. This time we get the complete show in re-mastered sound from a newly discovered tape with no gaps. It`s Elvis live in 1969 !  Be assured that you witness a powerhouse performance from the first days of the "Concert Years" with no weak spot. As always the disc is accompanied by a 20-page booklet with great liner notes and rare cover shots from these days. Highly recommendable ! It`s already in our Concerts On CD - 1969 section.
