Rainbow Records strikes again

E-mail Print PDF

Last Stop In Mobile is the title of this audience recording and it features the evening show of June 2, 1977. This concert is definitely the best of this tour and Elvis even included American Trilogy and Unchained Melody. Our man tried hard to please his audience and the result is decent. The sound is good throughout and the show is complete. Thumbs up, Rainbow Records ! It`s already in our Concerts On CD - 1977 section.

Venus Productions announces Bringing It All Back Home

E-mail Print PDF

This 2 CD set with full colour hardcover book features two Memphis shows in soundboard format: March 16, 1974 AS and June 10 1975 ES. We already had them back in 1997 by Rock Legends (the 1974 show) and 1997 by Diamond Anniversary Edition (the 1975 show). The latter we even recently had on Tour No.14. The concerts are fantastic with the crowd going nuts. For newbies who don`t have the shows a must-have. For those who have the originals not worthwhile by all means cause the previous releases already sound pretty fine. For more details please go to our Concerts On CD - 1974 and 1975 sections where you already find this set.

Added two new audience recordings to our live section

Flyin' High (Management 3 label) gives us Atlanta July 3, 1973 ES. We already had it a few months ago by Rainbow Records (Stripped Of My Heart, My Soul). For those who missed the opportunity there`s now another one to get hold of this fantastic show. The sound quality is worse on the latter though.

The other one is called An Evolving Elvis by VB Records. We hear Las Vegas August 26, 1971, MS. I cannot recommend this show wholeheartedly since Elvis is rushing through the songs without talking at all. It seems like he was trying to bring the affair to an end as soon as possible. That makes the show a bit boring.

I have added these titles already to our respective live sections.

The Unreachable Star set for early November

This time the people from SR Records give us the November 11, 1971, evening show in Cincinnati. We have in on CD-R for ages now and you can even listen to it in our Concerts On CD - 1971 section. The show is excellent with no weak spot. SR is known for only copying shows from CD-R without making any efforts re sound improvement. Let`s hope they did a better job here cause the show is really a powerhouse performance. I have already added it to our respective live section.

"The Final Homecoming" set for release

E-mail Print PDF

The latest Audionics/Fort Baxter release will be a soundboard recording of Elvis`last show in his hometown Memphis, Tennessee. Date: July 5, 1976, 8.30 pm. Location: Midsouth Coliseum.
We already had this show 12 years ago by Fort Baxter and it was high time for an upgrade ! The 2 CD set will be accompanied by a 16-page booklet with many photos from this concert and informative liner notes. The sound has even been improved so that we can look forward to this package. The show was the last of the tour and Elvis really enjoyed his time on stage. He wanted to give his home audience a very special performance and the crowd reactions were overwhelming ! This concert definitely belongs to the best he gave this year with little ups and many downs ! Essential for newbies in any case and a nice addition to every collection. It is already in our Concerts On CD - 1976 section !
