New Straight Arrow due in early August

You Don`t Have To Say You Love Me is the title and Las Vegas, February 21, 1973 Dinner Show is the date. Again we have a beautiful digipak filled with photos and liner notes and again we have a two mike ambiance recording just like the recent Faded Love. This means very good sound with stereo effect. And the most important thing: The concert wasn`t available in any form before !  A complete new performance !!! I could already listen to some songs and I was really satisfied with what I  heard. A decent show in full length with standard repertoire. Highly recommendable ! It`s already in our Concerts On CD - 1973 section.

Management 3 gives us Seattle, April 29, 1973. Afternoon Show. We already had this audience recording  back in 2004 on When The Bloon Moon Turns To Gold Again. But this time we have a different source and the sound is remarkably better. I am a great fan of these shows. Elvis and band really delivered powerhouse performances. The disc is accompanied by a 10-page booklet with a review and a newspaper article about the concert. For more infos please go to our Concerts On CD - 1973 section. It`s already added there.

Venus Productions gives us more studio takes from the 70`s. This time we will be getting February 1976 sessions from the "Jungle Room" with many unreleased takes of Moody Blue and Solitaire. Pity that there are only 16 tracks. Perhaps we will get more on a future "Vol. 2". Thats`business. It is already in our Studio On CD - W section.

Flaming Phoenix Productions gives us what remained from the damaged soundboard tape of this Vegas Opening Show. To make the concert appear complete the missing parts were taken from other - well known - SB tapes of this Vegas season (All Things Are Possible/Lean, Mean And Kickin' Butt).  For more details please go to our Concerts On CD - 1971 section. It`s already added there.

Straight Arrow announces Faded Love

E-mail Print PDF

The Kings of audience recordings showcase us their new release Faded Love as recorded live in Las Vegas on February 15, 1973, the dinner show. We had this remarkable show back in 1992 on Las Vegas Dinner Show (TCB Records). The new label Le Freak wants to release this show as a straight copy of the latter, too - as a simple audience recording. But here we have this concert in a new fantastic fresh sound as it was taped with two mikes plugged in a high-end cassette recorder which was placed on the balcony just behind the mixing table (two-mike ambiance live recording). The release debuts as a digipack for the Straight Arrow label. Elvis leaves the stage in the middle of the show to recover a bit from health problems. Charlie Hodge moderates the show meanwhile and the Stamps sing a few Gospel numbers. When Elvis returns to the plot he first wants to finish the show but after having done the closing song, he reconsiders and continues with a strong performance including the rare Faded Love. A very unusual show and a recommendable release ! It`s already in our Concerts On CD - 1973 section !
